Inbox

 

Create a folder My Documents\Inbox, and put brand new stuff there until you’ve decided where it should go permanently.  InBox should be for things you need to do now; don’t let it get big and crowded.  Put a shortcut to Inbox at a convenient spot on the desktop, e.g. near the Start button (lower left), so that you can always get there fast.  One folder that should be in Inbox is Downloads, since downloads should be dealt with pretty soon, before you forget what it was and why you downloaded it.
